Sweet and Sour Chickpeas

  • 1 15-oz. can chickpeas, drained, rinsed and patted dry
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt


  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
  2. In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder and salt. Add chickpeas to the mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Add to a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour or until the chickpeas sound hollow when you shake the baking sheet.

Enough for about 4 people
