Butter Rum Sauce

Issue 3, 2016

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup Half and Half, evaporated milk or whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup dark rum

Direction

  1. In medium saucepan, bring sugar, cream and butter to boil.
  2. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered, stirring frequently for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in rum.
  4. Serve warm over cake.
    Makes 2 cups
